He obtained his M.D. in Endocrinology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (Former PG Hospital) and received Advanced Training in Endocrinology from Mayo Clinic, USA.
His international credentials include MACP (America), MACE (America), MRCP (London), FCPS (Medicine – FP), and FCPS (Neuro Medicine – FP).
Dr. Azmal Mahmood has served as Consultant (Endocrinology) at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (Nov 2024–Present), Resident Physician (Endocrinology) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (Feb 2019–Apr 2024), Medical Officer (Medicine) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Jan 2016–Present), and Medical Officer (Medicine) at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (Aug 2015–Jul 2016).
